Here�s what I find really ironic- most of the �social conservatives� who bemoan the entertainment industry for spewing out tasteless, filthy shows, the people who overwhelmingly support George Bush and his promise to bring �values� back into American life, are the same people who get most of their news from FOX- the same company that seems to have an endless parade of the most abhorrent television shows around- latest case in point being �Who�s Your Daddy?� Do these people not realize that FOX and FOX News are owned by the same company? I know its hard see the connection, but its there�FOX�.FOX News�. Very sly of them. If these people were truly worried about moral decline in this country, why would they knowingly support a company that basically plays to their worst fears? People are so fucking stupid sometimes it is difficult for me to fathom.
In other social conservative news, while driving back up from Florida, we passed by a billboard in Alabama which simply stated �Go to Church or the Devil Will Get You.� While I found it to absolutely hilarious, it reminded me a lot of the Republican smear campaign against John Kerry. These people always seem to fall back on scare tactics to get their point across. �I know the country is in shambles right now, but don�t vote for John Kerry or we�ll all get nuked off the face of the earth by terrorists.� I guess some things never really change.
