The best - and most amusing - thing I have heard about Bush's terms in office is this "If nothing else, it's allowed any half wit to dream that they too could be president one day" So now? Even the stupid kids can hope big. Yeah? I was told by a friend recently that his sister, who is still in basic training, already has a ship out date for a year and a half away. So, in his little pea brain...this going on another two years is not only possible, but likely. Something he is almost striving for. Most of those with any sense at all knew this was a bad idea before anyone was ever shipped anywhere, and even the rest of the country has come around. Wonder what it would take for Bush too? You said this was about his pride, and although I think that is a contributing factor...I believe it's minor in comparison to his bank account motivations.
