And lets give a big round of applause to the United States for having killed over 17,000 Iraqi civilians since the start of the war. I still can't figure out why they hate us so much. Must be because they're 'evil doers'.
Keep in mind this # is only confirmed, reported casualties. I'd bet my left nut there have been several thousand more that have gone unreported.
So congratulations to us for starting a civil war in the middle east. And yes, that is exactly what it is. They can sugar coat it all they want- calling them 'insurgents', but this is a civil war. You have Iraqis fighting Iraqis, and then there's us- egging them on. We're like that asshole in the local pub who starts a fight between two other people. "Hey, I just heard that guy over there call you a rat pricked douche bag...are you gonna let him talk to you that way?" And pretty soon, with the wagon rolling towards the cliff, we'll bail out and let them kill each other.
I'm not affraid to say it- Saddam Hussein was a necessary evil. When you have a country that is so divided, with so many different ethnic and religious groups who hate each other, the only way to hold the country together is with an iron fist. I've said that since before the war started, and I also predicted the civil war that has followed. Democracy is never going to work there. Saddam Hussein knew that- which is why his government was completely secular and authoritarian. So now we've removed him from power, and this is what we get- Iraqis killing Iraqis, and Iraqis killing us for pulling the key stone that held everything in check. And all because some twerp from Texas didn't want to seem wimpy like his old man.

Oh, Cana-da....our home and native land....
